Hey, it’s Chad here from Comic Con For Kids!

I wanted to let you know some important information before you arrive at Comic Con For Kids. That way YOU are ready to have an amazing time with your family! 

Let me start by answering some simple questions for you! 

The Greater Philadelphia Expo Center 

100 Station Ave, Oaks, PA 19456

Show up at least 30 minutes early! 

Platinum and Gold Pass Holders: Doors open at 9:00 AM 

Silver Pass Holders: Doors open at 10:00 AM 

Have your printed tickets or digital tickets on your mobile device ready to be scanned!

Eventbrite & Groupon ticket holders: you do not need to go to the box office, simply have your voucher ready to be scanned.

Have all large bags ready for a quick inspection at our security check.

If you have any cosplay weapons or props, head to our Information Booth for a quick Weapons check (see below for details).

Head inside and have a blast!

We are super excited to see everyone’s costume for this event! However, we do need to lay a couple of ground rules to make sure all of our attendees are safe.

Costumes: Costumes over 8ft, using stilts, or using wheels for non-mobility aiding reasons (i.e. ADA Wheelchairs) will NOT be allowed.

Props & Weapons: As a general rule, any real/functioning, metal, sharp, and/or potentially dangerous weapons and/or props will NOT be allowed at this event.

i.e. real or replica guns, metal swords, sledgehammers, metal chains, wooden spikes

A Special Note on Prop Guns...

The Federal Government requires that any toy/prop guns have either: a) a blaze orange tip, b) be fully translucent, or c) be fully colored in a bright basic color.

ONSITE CHECKS (PEACE BONDING): 

If you have a prop or weapon with your costume, head to the Information Booth when you first enter the hall. 

Our trained staff will review the item and will attach a “Peace Bond” to the prop/weapon to let our staff know it’s been reviewed and good to go! 

(Weapons/props the do not pass the check will need to be returned to a location outside of the convention.)

There are a lot of people sharing one space.

 

Remember, we’re all here for the same reason… to have fun!

 

We have a ZERO tolerance policy for harassment of any kind.

We also offer a range of ADA Services, located at our Information Booth.

Parking is FREE this year for Comic Con For Kids. There will be plenty of parking spots available at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.

There are THOUSANDS of you attending this weekend.

Lines may be long for your favorite YouTubers and popular attractions like Virtual Reality, Gaming, etc. 

We will get you where you’re going as quickly and as safely as we can.

Most lines close at 3:30 PM in order to clear the room by 5:00 PM.

 

This is part of our contractual obligation to the venue.

 

This means you’ll want to plan out your day in advance to avoid missing anything.

 

Lines also close to accommodate YouTuber / Celebrity lunch breaks, so watch for those breaks in your show program and/or onsite.

Bring your mobile device and cameras.

 

There are TONS of photo ops for your family!

 

Please note Wi-Fi is NOT available and your signal may be spotty inside the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center.
